Terry L. Koertner

   Terry L. Koertner, 54, of Jefferson, South Dakota passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Sunnybrook Community Church. Pastor BJ Van Kalsbeek will officiate.    Terry Lee Koertner was born on August 30, 1967, in West Point Nebraska. He lived there until he went to college at the University of Nebraska Lincoln to get his bachelors degree.

   He worked at Tyson Foods for 32 years.

   His favorite things to do were hanging out with his family and friends, watching Husker games, and volunteering at Sunnybrook Church, which included 10 annual trips to Haiti.

   He was married to Susan for 27 years, and had three kids: Rachel (married to Maverick), Nicole (married to Ben), and Ryan.

   He lived everyday on fire for the Lord.

   He will be remembered as someone who was generous, encouraging, goofy, strong, and fiercely loving.
