Terry Lee Stebbins

Terry died Nov 2, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Terry Lee Stebbins was born Dec. 18, 1957 in Onawa, IA to Bonnie and Leslie Stebbins. He lived most of his life in Monona and Woodbury counties with a short stint in Chicago. Terry found the most peace in his life living in Onawa and studying with the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Terry had a great love for Jehovah and though he suffered with mental illness, his faith never waned. Terry’ cat, Oscar was his roommate for many years and saw him through to the end. Anyone who new Terry also knew that the next most important things to him were the 3 m’s.: his mother, his music, and motorcycles. Terry was a gentle soul who would not hurt a fly. He loved his family and friends and could always be counted on for good conversation. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Stebbins and his mother, Bonnie Mortenson Heath. Those mourning Terry’s death include 4 sisters: Sherry (Mike) Yankey of Sloan IA, Patty Cotter of Sioux City IA, Brenda Zieglar of Ottumwa, IA, Rebecca Heath of Onawa, IA and 3 brothers: Steve (Eileen) Stebbins of Van Buren, Arkansas, Rodney Heath of Sioux City, IA, Roger (Amber) Heath of Sioux City, IA, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, as well as one Aunt, Charmaine Ingram, of Sioux City, IA. In lieu of flowers, Terry requested donations be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s WItnesses in Onawa, IA.
