Theresa L. Mayhew

Theresa L. Mayhew, 66, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021.  Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place in the spring.

Theresa was born the daughter of Ronald and Jacqueline (Iverson) Spurlin on May 17, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska.  She attended Central High School until its closing and graduated from West High School. Theresa married Ricky Owens and later married Paul Mayhew Jr. 

Theresa worked for IBP, Marina Inn, Convention Center and Claey’s Brothers Moving Company over the years.  

She enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and playing Keno.  She also enjoyed caring for her and James’ garden and loved animals of all kinds especially her Saint Bernards and Persian cats. 

Theresa is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Osterholt; fiance, James Herbert; her children, Lisa Coyle (Phil LaSeur) of Saint Augustine, FL, Lora (Rudy) Robinson of Elk Point, SD, Crystal (Matthew) Kaylor of South Sioux City, NE and Jeffrey Grillet of Sioux City, IA; her siblings, Cheri (Bill) Farris of Sioux City, IA, Suzanne Hall of Sioux City, IA, Jacqueline (Bobby) Gill of Jackson, NE, Barb (Mike) Wade-Klobertanz of Sheffield, IL, Jim (Amy) Osterholt of Sioux Falls, SD, and Nathan (Fattoum) Finley of California, step-siblings, Rhonda, Tonya and Jason Dutra; her grandchildren, Shelby (Michael) Campbell, Zachary Levenhagen, Andrew Polly, Colton Robinson and Kallista Robinson; a great-granddaughter, Valery Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Spurlin and step-parents, Alan Osterholt and Bob & Dina Finley.
