Thomas James Harris

Thomas J. Harris, 78, of Dakota City, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021.  Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time.  Burial will be at Omaha Valley Cemetery in Homer, Nebraska.  

Tom was born the son of James and Carol (Stecker) Harris on June 5, 1942 in Sioux City, Iowa.  He married his high school sweetheart, Jeanine Longwell, in 1960.  Tom and Jeanine had three children, Deborah (Steve) Garnand of South Sioux City, Laurie (David) Jenkins of Sioux City, and Bradley (Kay) Harris of Dakota City.

Tom and Jeanine farmed in the Homer area for many years before starting their own business of Harris Amusement.

Tom is survived by his three children; brother, Terry (Jeanne) Harris; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife.
