Tom proudly served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. Upon returning to Sioux City, he navigated several job opportunities before establishing his own successful floor covering business in the Siouxland area. Tom would always extend a helping hand to family, friends, and even strangers, embodying the spirit of kindness and generosity. Although he cherished his personal space, he also found joy in visiting with treasured friends and family.
In addition to his career, Tom was a man of diverse interests and hobbies. He loved working on home projects. Tuesdays were especially significant for Tom, as he eagerly anticipated Poker nights with friends, a tradition that brought him much joy. He enjoyed spending time at the family farm near Stone Park and, in his younger years, was an avid horseman who participated in rodeos, showcasing his talents in bronc riding and steer wrestling. Tom also loved to read.
