Tracy L. Smouse

November 5, 1975 — August 28, 2021

Tracy L. Smouse, 45 of Sioux City, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 after a brave battle against Cancer.  Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Pastors Mike and Judy Smith, and Pastor Chuck Newton leading prayers, and singing, for the Celebration.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Tracy was born on November 5, 1975 in Carroll, Iowa to Steve and Lissa (Steffe) Smouse.  She lived in Coon Rapids, Iowa until January of 1983, when the family moved to Sioux City.  Tracy enjoyed babysitting for many children throughout her lifetime, and enjoyed collecting angels, nutcrackers, and a variety of stuffed animals.  She resided with her mother until passing.

Tracy is survived by her mother Lissa Smouse of Sioux City; brother Troy Smouse (significant other Amanda Tereisner); nephew T.J. Smouse; nieces: Aurora Smouse, Serena Miller, and Yasmine Smouse; Aunt:  Janet Cretsiinger; five uncles:  Lyle Paulsen, Gene Steffe, Dirl (Shirley) Steffe, Les (Marilyn) Steffe, and Steve (Jan) Steffe; one maternal aunt Beth (Duane) Lau; and many cousins.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandparents Hilburn C. and Lucile Steffe, Sr., aunt and uncle Hilburn and Mary (Lacy) Steffe Jr., Uncle David Steffe, aunt Juanita Paulsen, paternal grandmother LaVonne Smouse, uncle Norman Cretsinger, and nephew Trent Tereisner.

The family would like to offer a special Thank You to the doctors and staff at June E. Nylen Cancer Center, and Unity Point Hospital for their loving care of Tracy, along with that of Hospice of Siouxland.
