Truman Lee Fahrenholz, 75, of rural Allen, NE passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 8, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 15, 2019 at First Lutheran Church in Allen, NE. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery in rural Allen. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the church.
Truman was born on September 26, 1944 in Pender, NE, the son of Edwin and Mildred (Tonjes) Fahrenholz. He graduated from Allen High School in 1962. Truman married Darlene (Renz) Benton in 1979. He farmed all his life and was very proud of his black angus cow herd. He was also a rural letter carrier in Allen, retiring in 2000 after 25 years of service.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Allen, the Allen-Waterbury Rural Fire District Board, Clark Township Board, and Rural Letter Carrier's Assn.
He loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, spending time with his family and friends, was very kind-hearted, and never knew a stranger. He also loved farming, his cow herd, expanding his knowledge by watching the Discovery and History Channels, and 4-wheeling with his buddies.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene A. Fahrenholz; children, Elliott (Rebecca) Fahrenholz, Shane Fahrenholz, Chona Pallas, and Jason (Machelle) Fahrenholz; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Phyllis (Milo) Birkley; E. Keith (Becky) Fahrenholz; Lynne Saunders, Jill (Terry) Cosier, Janean (Boyd) Georgesen, and Diane (Don) Mohr; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Mildred Fahrenholz.
