Vernon E. Beach

Vernon E. Beach, 66, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at his residence.Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with no formal services held, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.Vernon was born in Sioux City, IA on February 7, 1948, the son of Eugene and Julia (Anderson) Beach. He lived in South Sioux City all his life. He married Wilma Ayers in 1966 in South Sioux City, NE. To this union two children, Verna J. and Vincent were born. The couple later divorced. Vernon was together with his special friend, Joann Weber for thirty years. He worked at Tyson Foods, retiring in February, 2014.He enjoyed hunting and listening to Country Western music.Survivors include his mother, Julia Hamilton of Sioux City, IA; special friend, Joann Weber of South Sioux City, NE; children, Verna J. (Eli) Ochoa and Vincent Beach, and his fianc, Janelle Prososki, all of Sioux City; grandchildren, Gunner and Mercedes Holbrook and Marisol Ochoa; great-grandchildren, Logan and Tanner Holbrook; brothers, Eugene Beach of LeMars, IA and Larry Beach and his fianc, Tracy Whitead of Primghar, IA; sisters, Julia (Duane) Peterson and Patty (Mike) Richter, all of Sioux City; step-sisters, Mary Broyhill of Ashgrove, MO and Roni (Bob) Fowler of Newport Richie, FL; and many nieces and nephews.Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Beach, Sr.; and special uncles, Bill Kryger and Clayton Beach.
