Victor Manuel Vasquez

Victor Manuel Vasquez, 38, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at his home.

A funeral mass will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Cathedral of the Epiphany. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 6:30 P.M. and a Vigil at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Victor was born March 6, 1983 in Mexico; the son of Guillermo Vasquez and Maria Del Socorro Diaz. He was raised in Mexico until 1989 when the family moved to Brownsville, Texas. In 1995, the family moved again to Storm Lake, Iowa and finally to Sioux City in 2000. Victor worked at John Morell until the facility closed. He then worked at Wells Blue Bunny for 5 years. He was currently employed by Curly’s Food’s where he had been employed for the last 3 years.

Victor married Maria Esperanza Garcia on January 26, 2019 in Sioux City. To this union, 2 children were born. He was a dedicated to his family and was a loving father, brother, and son. He enjoyed playing Playstation, soccer, and watching local soccer matches.

Those left to honor his memory are his mother, Maria of Fairfield, TX; wife, Maria Vasquez of Sioux City; children Anahi Vasquez, Victor Manuel Vasquez Jr. both of Sioux City, Veronica Vasquez of Creighton, NE; brothers Juan (Shantel) Diaz, Vincente Diaz, Lazaro (Myra) Vasquez, all of Sioux City; 5 nephews; 3 nieces; and many aunts and uncles.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Vasquez.
