Virginia VR "Gini" Davenport

Gini (VR) Davenport, 63, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2019.  A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Word of Life Church.  Burial will be held at a later date.  

Gini was born to Francis and Trudy Patricks on June 26, 1956 in Southern California.  She received her education and worked in California as a nurse for twenty years before moving to Sioux City.  She married Dennis Davenport on February 22, 2004 in Sioux City, Iowa.

She loved Jesus and looked forward to the reunion that is coming for all Christians.  She loved the Bible -- It was a lifetime study for her.  She was active in Word of Life Church and enjoyed doing outreach work there.  She also enjoyed making jewelry and crocheting.  She was a very creative and artistic person.

Gini is survived by her husband, Dennis Davenport of Sioux City; daughters, Kelly (Jason) Brooks of California and Holly Patricks of Omaha; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and her first husband.
