She began her career as a flight attendant with Delta in New York City and then moved to Dallas, TX and worked with American Airlines for the past 11 years. She loved to travel and her career gave her the opportunity to visit many destinations around the world.

She will be lovingly remembered as a beautiful soul with a big heart.  She was the comedian of the family and shared a close bond with her sisters who will miss her deeply.

Whitney is survived by her parents, Marcia and Joe Krage of Sioux City and Paul and Laura Dailey of Council Bluffs; sisters, Allie Dailey, Samantha Dailey, and Annie Krage all of Sioux City; nephew, Sawyer of Sioux City; several step siblings; grandparents Colonel and Jeanette Krage of Sioux City; and grandmother Shirley Browne.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gerald and Doris Uhl; paternal grandparents Merle and Dorothea Dailey; and grandparents Roberta and Curtis Browne.

The family would like to thank all of Whitney’s friends who called, visited, and/or messaged her during her last weeks. She truly felt loved. A special thank you to Madisen Hesse and Katy Sully for being at Whitney’s side during her most difficult days.

A pancake breakfast memorial will take place at Pub 52 in Sergeant Bluff, IA on March 5, 2023 from 10am - 1pm. A formal celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Additionally, the family requests that any flowers sent be non-toxic to cats, as Whitney had two beautiful cats, Nelson and Sophia. Thank you.
