Christopher A. “Chris” Harris, 46, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at an Omaha hospital following heart surgery. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Chris was born on November 22, 1974 in Sioux City. He attended school in South Sioux City, graduating from South Sioux City High School in 1993. He was a Siouxland resident his whole life. He worked as a Refinishing Technician at C&J Body Shop with his dad, Bill Harris, from the age of 13.
Chris loved going to movies with his brother, Joe, and nephew, Ashton; attending Ashton’s and other relatives’ football games; Husker football games; enjoyed shooting guns, and beer. He was very family oriented and love family get-togethers. Chris was also dedicated, and never missed a day of work in his life.
Left to cherish his memory include his parents: Janell Adams (Ken) and Bill Harris (Robin); brother, Joe Harris; nephew, Ashton Harris; stepsisters: Jackie Flaugh (Ernie), Lauren Duimstra, Missy Fadool (Ray), Angie Knode (Paul), and Heather Neale (Brian); step-nieces: Haven, Morgan, Baylie, Kelsie, Cassie, Emily, Tory and Autumn; step-nephews: Holden and Brice; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ken and Dorothy Lundberg, and Agnes and Gene Harris; and his special dog, Dusty.
Chris’ family requests casual attire at his memorial service, and please wear your Husker or Bears gear!
